UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship) is an organization designed specifically for youth in the 7th - 12th grades. Currently they meet every other Sunday evening. At Wesley they are involved in Santa's Helpers, a mission project that provides toys to 500-750 children in Walker County that would not otherwise have a Christmas. They also attend UMARMY.
Confirmation in The United Methodist Church is a time of intentional preparation, leading to the first public profession of faith. During this time young persons "make firm" what has gone before: God's prevenient grace, baptism, the teaching and witness of parents and other persons of faith, the teachings and life together in the church, the student's own growing faith. Youth are invited to claim for themselves the name Christian and the name United Methodist. Confirmation is a significant step in the journey of faith.
Junior High United Methodist Mission Trip is a five day mission trip for 6th - 8th grade students. Students will paint homes, replace window screens, build wheelchair ramps and other home repairs for homeowners in need. For more information regarding JUMMP, go to www.jummp.org.
Every summer, Wesley Youth (9th - 12th grade) attend a week long United Methodist Action Reach-out Mission by Youth, or U.M. ARMY camp. During the week of spiritual development and service, youth spend a week repairing the homes of low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners in need, repairing roofs, building ramps, painting and being the hands and feet of Christ for those in need.

Children’s Special Events Committee:
Plan activities to bring children into a closer relationship with each other and with God. We work to provide our children with a safe, loving, fun-filled environment where they can connect with other children and learn about Jesus in a meaningful and relevant way.
